A Patient's Perspective
Tour title: Whangarei surfer Viv Treacy surfing his way to the 2011
Hyundai Pro Longboard Tour title in the over-50 men's division.
Treacy placed second at the final event of the tour held at Port
Waikato this month which was enough to claim the overall title.
Off work but on the job: BNZ workers, from right: Sam Johnson,
Shelley Davies, Lizzy Campbell, Mathew Marr, Alana Ringrose, Kelly
Bowen and Quarry Gardens project manager David Muir, third from
right, take a break from cleaning, painting and gardening at the
Whangarei Quarry Gardens as part of the Bank of New Zealand's
Closed for Good initiative.
Well-being: Former NorthTec project leader Jane Scripps is now
running tailored t'ai chi courses. Jane runs her T'ai Chi That's For
Me courses in the Old Town Hall, Bank St, and privately by
arrangment. Call 021-180-6680 for more information.
Famous clown: Variety Bash stopped in for a visit at Whangarei Hospital during its tour of Northland earlier this month. Here Ryley Hall
with mum Rene Littlejohn gets a visit from Ronald McDonald.
The convoy of more than 25 quirky old cars, fire engines and other vehicles travelled from the Bay of Plenty to the Bay of Islands including
stops in Whangarei. The 21st bash raised $240,000 for sick, disabled and disadvantaged Kiwi kids. Donations can still be made online
online at www.varietynz.org.nz or by calling Variety on 0800-454-371.

Do you wake up in the morning dreading yet another day
at work? There are all sorts of reasons for these feelings
that fill your very being with apprehension, anxiety and at
times fear itself.
Where you work there are a variety of different personalities,
not to mention internal politics for personal gain. By
the way that's called "back stabbing". People who make
unrealistic demands or ridicule you, challenging your self
esteem. To endure this type of environment day in and day
out for hours can make you feel overwhelmed, helpless,
worthless, angry, hopeless & defensive.
I can help you turn this all around for your own well being
and get back on track with a more fulfilling lifestyle.
The answers to your questions are only one phone call
