These conditions apply to all advertising
in this publication unless we have agreed
other terms in writing with the advertiser

publication and in publishing it we are
doing so in consideration of and in reliance
on your express warranty, the truth of
which is essential:

otherwise breaches the Fair Trading
Act 1986; (ii) is defamatory, indecent

generally accepted community standards;
(iii) infringes copyright, a trademark or
otherwise infringes any intellectual or
industrial property rights; (iv) breaches any
provision of any statute, regulation, by-law
or other rule of law; and
b. That the advertisement complies in
every way with the Advertising Codes
of Practice issued by the Advertising
Standards Authority and with all other
standards relating to advertising in New

PROPOSED REGIONAL POLICY
STATEMENT FOR NORTHLAND
Public Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Clause 7 of the First Schedule of the
Resource Management Act 1991, that Northland Regional Council has prepared a
summary of all decisions requested by persons making submissions on the Proposed
Regional Policy Statement for Northland.
Inspection and availability of documents
The summary of the decisions requested and copies of the submissions are available
from 5 February 2013 as follows:
• For viewing online at www.nrc.govt.nz/newRPS;
• For viewing at Northland Regional Council of ces: 36 Water Street,
Wha_nga_rei; 61B Victoria Street, Dargaville; Unit 10, O
--pua Marine Park, O--pua; and

Making a Further Submission
Certain persons can make a further submission:
o Any person representing a relevant aspect of the public interest;
o Any person that has an interest in the proposed policy statement greater than the
interest the general public has; and
o The local authority itself.
Further submissions must be in the format in Form 6 of the Resource Management (Forms,
Fees, and Procedure) Regulations 2003. Further submission forms that follow this format
are available from the above-mentioned Northland Regional Council of ces or online at
www.nrc.govt.nz/newRPS, or from the Northland Regional Council's Planning and Policy
department (0800 002 004 or email@example.com).

Further submissions must be with the Northland Regional Council by 3.00pm,
Friday 1 March 2013.
Within 5 working days of lodging a further submission with the Northland Regional
Council, you must serve a copy on the person who made the submission to which your
further submission relates. The postal/email address of submitters is also available at the
locations listed above.
Next steps for public participation
Following the receipt of further submissions Northland Regional Council will hold public
hearings to allow submitters who wish to be heard to present further material in support
of their submission.
After the public hearing the Northland Regional Council must give its decision on the
provisions and the matters raised in submissions (including the reasons for accepting
or rejecting submissions). The Northland Regional Council must give public notice of
its decision within 2 years of notifying the Proposed Regional Policy Statement for
Northland 2012. The Northland Regional Council must serve a copy of the public notice
on every person who made a submission. Any person who has made a submission
has the right to appeal against the Northland Regional Council's decisions to the
Environment Court if:
• In relation to a provision or matter that is the subject of the appeal, the person
referred to the provision or matter in the person's submission on the proposal; and
• The appeal does not seek the withdrawal of the Proposed Regional Policy Statement
for Northland 2012 as a whole.
